Whilst it must be understood that we are working with essentially wild birds and that every move is on their terms I would like to describe what a typical session involves.

Meet at farm car park, introduction to Jemima our female Harris's Hawk whom we take for a walk ,she follows on and from time to time swoops down for tit bits. This walk takes us along towards Hamilton Rock and provides an exellent backdrop for photographs.
When we return to the vehicles you will be given wax jackets and hawking gloves prior to a handling session with our male Eagle Owl. He is an easy going bird and a bit of a lady's boy.when you are at ease with a bird on your fist you will be introduced to our male Harris's and we will take him into an adjoining field and cast him off,he should then pitch in a tree from which he will fly to your gloved hand, landing lightly to eat his reward a small piece of meat,a process he will repeat as we wander round the field.
We would then repeat this with a male Buzzard.

The birds involved may vary as to an extent will the venue.

Our team at the moment includes in addition to the Buzzards,Harris's and Eagle Owl Breac the Gyr/saker hybrid and Cairnie the Sakeret.
